Description
Our Great Ocean Road Private Day Tour begins from your location (hotel, airport, etc.) and in order to avoid the large tourist crowds, we will head directly to the Bay of Islands, where you can take beautiful photos and admire the jaw-dropping landscape. Afterwards, we will drive to London Bridge, then to Loch Ard Gorge and arrive at the 12 Apostles Lookout.
The well-known 12 Apostles are large limestone stacks, that were created from the Southern Ocean’s extreme weather conditions that gradually erode the soft limestone. Their height reaches up to 50m (160 ft).
A little further down the road, we will stop at Gibson Steps and then drive through the mysterious rainforest of Great Otway National Park. Its world-famous for its breathtaking waterfalls and its colossal Mountain Ash trees that can reach up to 114m (374 ft) high!
As we exit the rainforest, the vast ocean is revealed and we are on our way to Apollo Bay where you can enjoy a delicious lunch.
Our last stop will be at Kennett River, where you can see and take photos of beautiful koalas up in the trees and other diverse wildlife of Victoria, such as rosellas and king parrots.
Finally when our Great Ocean Road Private Day Tour is over, we will return back to Melbourne.
